Former Chelsea and Arsenal striker Nicholas Anelka has stated that Kylian Mbappe is the main man in the Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and that new signing Lionel Messi must respect him.

Nicholas Anelka said this in an exclusive interview with French publication Le Parisien as he said that six-time Ballon d'Or winner Messi must play for Mbappeas the main man in the PSG attack rather than him being the main focus of the attack at his new club.

Nicholas Anelka was speaking shortly after PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino labelled Messi as the best player in the world during his press conference last week Monday ahead of the mammoth Champions League clash between PSG and Premier League champions Manchester City at the Parc des Princes last week Wednesday. Messi lived up to the ‘best player' tag from his manager as he scored the second goal to wrap up an impressive 2-0 win over Manchester City.
Messi had not scored for PSG in two starts and one substitute appearance before the Manchester City game on the back of his free transfer move from Spanish giants Barcelona who are struggling financially at the moment. PSG took the lead from an unlikely goalscorer inside eight minutes at the expense of the Premier League holders. Senegalese international IdrissaGueyefinished a flowing PSG move like an attacker to give his team the lead in the Champions League game billed to be between the top two richest clubs in European football.
Argentine national team talisman Messi then produced the best moment of the game to double the lead for his Paris-based team off the perfect layoff from Frenchman Mbappe. The goal from Messi in the final quarter of the game ended the Champions League clash as a contest. The win over Manchester City sent PSG to the top of Group A after two matches as they replaced Manchester City.
